Beautiful teeth have been a sign of health and beauty for centuries. It's not for nothing that the saying "You don't look a gift horse in the mouth" exists.
About 15 years ago, my Bochum dentist made the diagnosis that I have carious saliva and that I absolutely have to rinse my mouth every day to make the saliva antibacterial. With the next appointment for a dental treatment in mind, I bought his mouthwash and used it dutifully. After three days my tongue was burning and I could hardly distinguish between sweet and sour.
What now? That's when it occurred to me that I have the perfect antibacterial home remedy myself - Manuka essential oil . Many studies in New Zealand, Zurich and the USA have found that the essential oil of 'Leptospermum Scoparium' (South Sea myrtle, also called New Zealand myrtle or Manuka) is effective against a wide range of staphylococci, fungi and germs. Even against antibiotic-resistant germs and the MRSA (the hospital germ).
Essential Manuka Oil – the perfect antibacterial home remedySince then I have been using the manuka oil about twice a week in the evening after brushing my teeth. After brushing, I rinse off my brush briefly, put 1 to 2 drops of manuka oil on the brush and carefully clean all the teeth again, especially the insides and where plaque is always deposited. Then rinse briefly with water - done. You can taste the spicy-tart taste of the manuka, which, however, disappears very quickly. Teeth and mouth feel wonderfully fresh and clean. Since I've been doing this, I no longer need to have my teeth cleaned! For me this is a wonderful way to care for and protect my teeth - I love it!
